It’s hard to believe that I’ve been back in the United States for more than 4 weeks. I’ve been so preoccupied with the million and one things that I’ve had going on that I haven’t even had a chance to adequately process the experience that I had living across the globe in retrospect. One of the things that I definitely loved about Tokyo was the food, and TY Harbor became a staple for my husband and me during our time in Japan. We dined at this fabulous restaurant and brewery numerous times and loved it so much that it’s the place I picked to eat for our final dinner with friends before I left to come back home. We were always well taken care of and the food got even better with time.
My farewell spread at TY Harbor
TY Harbor
TY Harbor is a restaurant owned and operated by Tyson and Company, a mogul for dining spaces in Japan specializing in restaurant management, brewery and bakery facilities, catering, and special events. The company owns a few different dining locations throughout Japan, including a barbecue restaurant that my husband and I frequented during our visits to Tokyo. TY Harbor is located within the company’s main location that overlooks the beautiful Tennoz Canal.
As a brewery, TY Harbor offers a plethora of craft beers. While their wagyu beef burger is single handedly the best burger I’ve ever had and the wings are amazing, this restaurant is way more than just bar food! A few of my favorite dishes include the grilled snapper filet, the Hawaiian style tuna poke, the potato wedges topped with mango chutney, and the grilled amber ale marinated chicken. With it’s gorgeous harbor views, TY Harbor is an amazing place for a laid back but outstanding dinner in Tokyo. It’s also right near the infamous Bond Street street art, which makes the walk to the restaurant totally worthwhile. The restaurant also has English menus, which is a plus for any visit to Japan.
