Eating My Way Through Ponce City Market: Brezza Cucina

Ponce City Market is a mixed-use development located in Atlanta’s historic Sears, Roebuck, and Co. building. It’s a huge indoor/outdoor complex that contains shops, office space, living space, a rooftop park, and an amazing food hall. As a foodie, the part about Ponce City Market that makes me most excited is the wide range of restaurant options. My mission is to try each and every restaurant in Ponce City Market’s Food Hall, then rank my top 5. So far, I’ve had the pleasure of dining at W.H. Stiles Fish Camp and H&F Burger. Recently, I added Brezza Cucina to the list and I am excited to share my thoughts with you all.

I'm on a mission to try and review every restaurant in Atlanta's Ponce City Market. Read all about my experience at Brezza Cucina on LiveLifeWellBlog.com

Brezza Cucina

Brezza Cucina gives diners a taste of Italy right in Ponce City Market’s central food hall. Well known chef Jonathan Waxman established the restaurant in hopes of serving up Italian cuisine with his own California flair. The restaurant’s rustic interior includes both a 45-seat bar/lounge and a 150-seat dining room that faces a gorgeous open kitchen. The menu includes Italian staples like gnocchi, octopus salad, and a plethora of pizzas.

Brezza Cucina Menu

As someone who lived in Italy for almost a year, I’m pretty picky when it comes to Italian cuisine. Once you’ve tasted the real thing, it’s hard to find local restaurants that are up to par. While in my opinion Brezza Cucina’s pizzas were just OK, the octopus salad and veal and pork meatballs were both delicious. Octopus salad is something that I became obsessed with while living in Cantu, and Brezza Cucina’s version is the closest I’ve found to the one that I came to love during my time in Northern Italy. For true Italian style pizza, Antico Pizza Napoletana still reigns supreme in Atlanta in my humble opinion, but Brezza Cucina’s menu includes a lot of other fabulous dishes that are definitely worth a try.
