Now that athleisure is in, I’ve totally been feeling like Sporty Spice. This is a trend that I’m loving and, lucky for me, my husband loves to see me in it as well, which makes it a great pick for casual date night outfits. Although athleisure has been one of my go-to styles for errands and other daytime activities for some time, I wasn’t quite sure that it could be jazzed up enough for nighttime. I spent this weekend in Washington, D.C. with some of my best friends and I decided to take my athleisure look from day to night for an evening out on the town. I played around with a few different ways to change up my look and here’s what I came up with:

As you can see, I kept it simple but changed into a pair of pumps, threw on a statement necklace, and grabbed my boy bag to transform this look into one that was appropriate for a night out on the town. Another great way to take your athleisure from day to night is to change up your make up. Going with a bolder, brighter lip is a surefire way to dress up a look. I also love the idea of changing your hair. Athleisure and top knots are a match made in heaven, but wearing your hair down with barrel curls or in a more sophisticated, chic, low ponytail changes up the entire look.
