When you read the title of this post, I know you probably thought to yourself, “who could possibly love that time of the month????” No woman in the world (that I’ve ever met) gets excited about her period and honestly, I’m no different, but I try my hardest to find the positivity in everything. Believe it or not, there are a few bright sides to your monthly visitor! Here are 3 reasons to LOVE that time of the month:
3 Reasons to LOVE That Time of the Month
You can be (almost) certain that you’re not pregnant
Getting your period is nature’s way of telling you that you’re not carrying a baby. I’m not quite ready for little ones, so whenever Aunt Flow comes around, I rejoice at the fact that I’m not pregnant and things are operating normally down there. That time of the month should be a happy occasion for anyone who doesn’t want to be pregnant because you can be (fairly) certain that you haven’t been knocked up.
You can blame it all on hormones
During that time of the month, I blame it ALL on PMS and hormones. Moodiness, emotions, binge eating, bloat, pimples – you name it; I blame it on my period. That time of the month gives you an excuse for almost anything with absolutely no guilt.
You have a free pass to eat chocolate
This is probably my absolute favorite part about my monthly visitor. While I may force my chocolate cravings to the back of my mind during the majority of the month, during my period, I indulge a little. I get a serious sweet tooth and, during that time of the month, I eat my share of Nutella and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. You get a free, no questions asked, pass to eat just about whatever sweets you want when you have your period.

Another reason to not only love, but also look forward to that time of the month are Aunt Flo’s Happy Boxes, monthly subscription boxes that include whichever tampons or pads you rely on, chocolate to feed your cravings, assorted items to make you feel more beautiful and comfortable, pain relievers to ease your cramps, and other treats like teas, and coupons.
